Susan was called to the Ontario Bar in February 2002.  Before earning her law degree, at Queen’s University, Susan studied history, political science and government at the University of Toronto and at Harvard University.

Prior to studying law, Susan worked for a decade in the financial services industry, starting in the retail-banking sector, later specializing in retirement investments.  During her financial services career Susan earned numerous sales and customer service awards, and her detailed knowledge of practices and procedures led to her being consulted on the detailed drafting of policy manuals, nationwide.  Earning the respect of her colleagues, senior and junior, Susan was also consulted regarding the implementation of the earliest pay equity legislation in Ontario, in her (then) workplace.  When Susan began to practise law, she continued to operate with the same principals that she had in her prior career; that of acquiring the necessary expertise to benefit her clients, to the highest standard.
